Beer Commercial

Recently we flew our Cammate camera crane for a high end beer commercial on the nations largest hops farm. It was a twenty seven foot build in below zero temps. With a production crew of about forty people the demands for success were very high. Everything slows down in those temperatures, but we were able to build the crane in record time. We also  provided video village using a popup tent with propane heaters so that the producers and directors could stay warm while viewing each take.  In these temps you have to be prepared for everything. We were filming with an ARRI camera and Panavision anamorphic lenses attached to a Talon hot head. To keep the servos of the hot head from locking up in such cold temps we used a heat gun between takes to keep everything moving smoothly.
